I haven't always been this way. Before I married, I was neat and tidy, knew where everything was, and had no problems keeping my living space clean and organized. Life and love have a way of turning things upside-down, and I fell in love with my beloved Scott. I really should have seen it coming, but his love and dazzling smile blinded me to the fact that he is somewhat organizationally challenged.
We now have seven children, most of whom have inherited their father's ADHD and the organizational challenges that go along with it. We lovingly call our home the "house of chaos and pandemonium." I will be brutally honest here - with six kids still at home, pets, music lessons, teenagers, homeschooling, and life in general, it is rare to find a quiet moment, especially when everyone is awake. I consider a good day to be one in which all lessons were completed, music was practiced, chores were done, and all the food groups were eaten. If I can also get multiple laundry loads done during that same day, that day is exceptional!
Can one mother win against the forces of chaos and pandemonium? It is my fervent hope and prayer!
